Dogs know a lot, but there are some concepts they don’t get. They process things based on their understanding of what they personally experienced.
This Golden Labrador named Zazu is one example. He understood beds, but he didn’t know that there were what we call bunk beds.
Zazu discovered what it is on this day. He and his German Shorthaired Pointer brother woke up to hear a familiar voice, but they couldn’t figure out just where that sound came from.
The voice sounded like their favorite aunt, Ritica, but they couldn’t see her anywhere. Zazu was confused, and his facial expression said so.
Things got so confusing that the golden dog had to hop down and look for that voice coming from above.
That’s when he found out that it was his favorite aunt he was hearing. He barked for her to come down, and the Pointer named Walle joined him.
When Zazu hopped back to his bed, he couldn’t see her. Neither did Walle, so the pets resorted to licking Ritica’s hand.
They weren’t happy about this though, so they barked again for her to come down. The pets must have thought that since they were on a bed, then another bed couldn’t be above them.
This innocence is something that makes dogs even more adorable. Perhaps it’s because even if they were confused, they only wanted their favorite aunt, still.
Thankfully, Ritica came down from the top bunk, and the dog’s excitedly kissed her silly. This is the type of welcome we all need whether we admit it or not.
We’re just happy that these dogs discovered that beds can come in layers and that both single layer and double-layered once are enjoyable.
Here’s to many more incredible discoveries in the future, pets! May you never tire of giving your signature kind of welcome.
