What one group can do can be made even better if two groups worked together on the same mission. This is what happened recently when two groups teamed up for a common cause.
The Five Acres Animal Shelter worked hand-in-hand with the Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Their mission was to help save 14 dogs that were in Southern Missouri.
Saving one dog is hard enough. 14 is surely no walk in the park. That’s why the two groups had to put their efforts together to make sure that all 14 dogs were saved.
To get to where the dogs were, the two groups had to travel for hours. They took that challenge despite the obstacles they faced. But they did it to help the poor animals.
The 14 dogs that needed saving were not in the best of health. They needed medical help for their dental issues and for mange. One of the animals also had a lot of issues with its health.
With two rescue teams working together, they were able to provide assistance. They had to decide which dogs would go with which team after they were all secured. After that, the animals were then placed inside their vehicles and were driven to the shelters that would serve as their temporary homes.
Once the dogs were in their respective shelters, they immediately got the medical help they needed. They were also taken care of by the staff at each shelter to make sure that they were in good health and were treated well.
Now, all 14 dogs are slowly being nursed back to health and they are being primed for adoption. The shelters are looking at potential families who would take them in and give them permanent homes.
If not for the help of these two rescue teams, these dogs may still be suffering from the life that they used to have.
