Dogs can be trained to be of help to people with disabilities, but what happens when a seeing-eye dog is trained to assist another dog? That is surely interesting and it really happened.
Charlie is a senior dog in need of canine assistance. He had been with the Stipes family for 11 years and was already showing signs of aging.
Charlie has glaucoma and it was so severe that it has affected both of his eyes. Because of this, his family has chosen to get the senior dog a friend. This friend and companion was a puppy, and the family discovered that the new one became more than just a seeing-eye dog for its older sibling, as opposed to the typical sibling relationship.
The senior dog’s new friend is Maverick, a four-month-old, service dog and guide dog in training. From the moment they met, he never left Charlie’s side. Undoubtedly, they have become inseparable!
Maverick was still required to attend doggie training on occasion, but when he’s not doing that, his family frequently sees him hanging out with Charlie. The younger pup has become Charlie’s daily companion, and he would accompany him for walks, games, and even naps.
Everyone believes that the four-month-old puppy has discovered his calling, and the Stipes family was overjoyed. They were ecstatic to have their two closest doggos flood their home with energy and affection.
The Stipes family decided to set up an Instagram account for their two puppies so that they could share their love for the two dogs with the rest of the world world. This kind of love must be shared with everyone!
Many other dog owners in similar circumstances were motivated by the doggos. Not only has this resulted in a greater number of dogs being adopted, including senior dogs who most especially need a forever home where they can spend the rest of their lives.
