Pit Bulls are frequently perceived as vicious or aggressive canines. One of the primary reasons why they are seen as such is because they are frequently used in dogfights. We must remember that it is not the dog’s fault, but rather the people who train these sweet and loving canines to be aggressive. Thankfully, a growing number of individuals are beginning to reconsider how they look at the Pit Bull breed.
Max is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and he is helping change people’s perception of his breed. He performed an extraordinary act that saved a person’s life.
During a walk with his owner, George Conner, Max detected that something was amiss. They were walking along a cliff in Sussex. George had no idea that the place he chose to take Max for a walk was notorious for suicides.
Max grew abruptly worried and sensed that something was wrong. He began to run away from George and headed for the cliffside.
George was anxious, and had no idea why Max was attempting to flee. He chose to follow Max and was astonished by what he witnessed.
As George approached Max, he observed what he initially believed to be a tiny garbage pile. However, upon approaching closer, he noticed that it was actually a teenage girl sitting on the cliff’s edge. Max sat directly next to the girl and refused to leave her side. George then phoned the police after recognizing the girl’s imminent risk of falling to her death.
Fortunately, the cops responded promptly. When the authorities rescued the girl, she was in the early stages of hypothermia and on the verge of losing consciousness. Nobody knows why the youngster was there or how long she had been sitting there, but if she had passed out, she would have likely fallen to her death.
Initially, the police attributed saving the girl’s life to George. However, George maintained that his dog, Max, was the one who discovered the girl. Without Max, he would not have found the girl.
Max definitely showed that Pit Bull breeds are neither violent nor aggressive. The temperament of a dog will depend on how it was nurtured by its owners.
