Hope For Paws, a renowned charitable institution in L.A., received a call from a Good Samaritan named Sabine Bradley about an injured dog that kept running through busy streets. Quickly, JoAnn, one of the volunteer workers, headed out to save the dog. And she agreed to meet with Sabine once she was in the neighborhood.
Sabine’s friend was the one who initially spotted the dog. He contacted her and they laid out a plan to secure the pup. It was a confounding and delicate task but they secured the Husky inside the house they were renovating at that time and kept it in there until the rescuer arrived.
The Good Samaritans searched various lost animal pages and groups but they didn’t find the dog’s owner so they agreed to call for help and contacted Hope For Paws. JoAnn was glad they did the right thing and thanked them for their good deed. Later on, she looped a Lucky Leash on the dog’s neck and named him Haku.
On their way to the vet’s office, JoAnn stopped and let Haku enjoy a puppuccino. It’s her way of letting him know that he’s safe with her. Likewise, she knew he was such a good boy so she rewarded him with the treat.
Haku had lacerated wounds on his armpit and on his hind legs. It wasn’t clear how but his rescuers believed he got them when he tried to cut across a yard secured with barbed wire. Luckily for him, his injuries weren’t that serious and they healed in no time.
After earning his clean bill of health, the 1-year-old Husky continued to his foster home with L.A. Animal Rescue. There, he finally met a lot of new friends, humans, dogs, ducks, and pigs alike. He instantly fit with everyone and proved right off the bat that he was a good boy, as JoAnn thought.
The dog gets along great with all the staffers at L.A. Animal Rescue as well as all the animals under their care. He surely takes pleasure in spending time with all of them.
Haku is now ready for his forever home. He loves going on adventures and he wishes to find a family with whom he can spend his years exploring the world. If you believe he fits right into your home, contact L.A. Animal Rescue right away.
