Connery, a pit bull terrier brought in by the Clinton County Humane Society, is up for adoption. Shelter workers described the dog as friendly, playful, affectionate, and active. He has a few quirks, including an obsession with tennis balls and a tendency to get excited when meeting new people.
The dog is a total sweetheart. However, volunteers can’t help but worry that Connery is too energetic for his own good. The volunteers admitted that the dog’s hyper and needy personality usually turns off many potential owners.
Nonetheless, they believe that Connery is just a dog who craves love and may not be a good fit for just anyone. Connery is a happy, playful canine looking for his forever home. The dog also walks well on a leash and knows basic commands like sit.
This adorable pit bull terrier would love an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and playtime. He especially loves to run around in large open areas so he can run free. Since Connery loves to be the center of attention, he will do best with another dog for company.
He would like to live in a house with another dog or two that would include him in all the fun activities. The humane society already paid for Connery’s adoption fee so that whoever wants this dog can come forward and take him home at no cost. The listing notes that he is a bit more active than some dogs and could do well with obedience training, but all-in-all he’s very sweet.
Connery has a lot of energy, so he’ll need an active family that can engage him in lots of physical activity. The Clinton County Humane Society added that Connery’s forever home should have adults or older children who can take care of him and provide him with the love he deserves. They also encourage potential owners to visit the shelter for more information on how to adopt Connery or any other pet there.
