The bond connecting a woman and her dog couldn’t be broken despite the time they have spent apart. Or the distance between them. Although they were apart for seven months, their love was clearly expressed when they finally were reunited.
Their eventual reunion was so heartwarming that it brought tears to the faces of everyone who witnessed it.
Lost pooch
Kenyetta Tyler lived alone with his dog Coco in Denver, Colorado. The two are the best of friends and are virtually inseparable. But somehow, Coco got lost. And despite all her best efforts to locate her pet, Kenyetta couldn’t find her.
She was utterly devastated. She felt an emptiness inside. Because of this and several other reasons, Kenyetta decided to move to Dallas, Texas, several months later. She had little hope that her precious pooch would ever find her way home.
But little did she know that thanks to her decision to have the dog microchipped, Coco would be returned to her.
Together again
Seven months after she went missing, a kind woman saw Coco running around in the streets in the northern sector of Denver. She reported this to Denver Animal Protection, who then sent an officer to rescue the small dog. Once she was at the shelter, she was scanned for a microchip. The staff got Kenyetta’s information and immediately got in touch with her.
The dog owner was overwhelmed with happiness and excitement when she heard that Coco was found. The surprised lady dropped everything that she was doing and went to pick her up right away.
When Kenyetta arrived at the shelter, she was giddy and filled with anticipation. When Coco finally went out, the two rushed to each other’s arms. Both were very excited to see one another.
This story is a good reminder to microchip our pets. They are a lifesaver and increase the chance of lost pets getting back to their owners.
