Bali Paws animal rescuer Desy was driving around when she saw a tiny puppy along the way. She got out of the car right after parking it on the roadside and approached the hairless, mangey stray pup.
Desy gave the puppy some food that she had with her, and the puppy came to her straight away. She picked the pup up as soon as he got closer and carried him to her car after finishing his quick snack.
Desy took a good look at the puppy and saw that he had some open wounds that must have been due to excessive scratching, so she drove to the vet to have him examined. The pup, which she ended up naming Lenny, had to stay in the clinic for a while.
Fortunately, Lenny managed to recover a little bit from his mange and was well enough to be taken home. Desy recalled that Lenny had no idea how to be a dog and was hesitant to approach or play with his foster siblings.
Lenny spent the first couple of days sleeping and just trying hard to recuperate after living a tough life on the streets. Desy shared that Lenny was always close to him and preferred to sleep right next to her.
Desy recalled that Lenny was like a tiny duckling who followed her everywhere, even to the shower and bathroom. He was extremely clingy yet affectionate and wanted nothing but to snuggles.
Lenny’s hair eventually started growing back after a couple of months. Desy said that the better Lenny got, the more he began showing his playful and bossy personality to all of his foster doggy siblings.
Lenny was eventually adopted by a couple who owns a farm in America. Desy admitted that she did not want to let Lenny go after growing so attached to him, but she knew that it was time for him to be with his fur-ever family.
