In China, the typical scenario would be people noticing abandoned dogs but they would never do anything about it. Most people in this country are indifferent and do not care if there are dogs that do not have homes.
This is what brought volunteers to do rescue work. They would first scour areas to check and discover if there are any dogs that need help and rescuing. They go through places where dogs could live and hide.
One day while checking out various places, a team of volunteers noticed that there was a puppy right by a garbage dump. They believe that the animal was there looking for food. Fiona, one of the volunteers, was drawn to the dog and named it Panda.
Fiona was able to secure Panda and took him home. There, Panda was given a bath and a good meal. Fiona also had to become the dog’s foster for the meantime.
Soon, Panda started to show Fiona that he was an affectionate and loving puppy. Fiona was pleased especially when someone came forward to adopt the dog and give him a family.
Fiona one day decided to visit Panda in his new home. It had been a number of years since Panda lived with her and when she saw him, Panda didn’t recognize her. But Fiona was happy to see Panda doing great – he is clean, healthy, happy, and has a loving fur mom.
Panda’s story is one of the many reasons why people should do their best to help out abandoned and stray dogs. They may look like they do not have a good future, but with the right help and a lot of love and care, they can become loving and affectionate pets who would be there for their owners.
Panda is sure one lucky dog.
