The organization Hope For Paws received information about a dog with serious acid burns in its mouth. Upon hearing about this, the group’s rescuers rushed to help the dog.
Rescuers Loreta and Eldad spotted the dog eating food provided by concerned neighbors when they arrived. Upon seeing the dog, they determined that her condition was significantly worse than anticipated. Her bottom jaw had rotted away, and flies followed her everywhere she went.
Even though Loreta was approaching her very closely, the dog did not appear to be afraid. Loreta even petted her. She was soon named Alice.
Loreta placed a leash on Alice and checked her back for lumps and bumps, as well as assessed her physical health. She then carefully took her and brought her to their vehicle.
While Alice was relaxing in a cage in the rear of the automobile, she asked Eldad to rub her tummy by offering it to him. Eldad joyfully agreed.
The rescuers brought Alice to a hospital for treatment. Doctors discovered that the acid had ruined her gums and corroded the flesh of her lower jaw.
Alice was also given a haircut, which removed months of matted hair. However, because Alice’s temperature was too low, they were unable to bathe her. Therefore, they just used a moist cloth to clean her and remove ticks.
Alice was hospitalized for a week so that she could be closely observed. She suffered from chemical burns, ocular ulcers, anemia, a heart murmur, and invasive dental surgery to fix her teeth.
After a week of healing and recuperation in the hospital, Loreta brought Alice home to continue her care and monitor her progress. Loreta spent the next weeks attentively tending to Alice’s needs. She prepares organic meals and applies coconut oil on her skin daily.
The animal evolved into the cutest dog that adores belly rubs as a result of regular care and attention. She was happily adopted by a very loving family two months later.
