Justice was approximately two years old when he was discovered in the streets covered with chemical burns. Local rescuers were summoned to help the dog, which was barely alive. Given the severity of the injuries to his body, it was a miracle he survived for so long.
The dog was immediately treated at the Shelbyville County Animal Shelter by veterinarians in the facility. As he had exposed wounds that were particularly prone to infection, he had to be bandaged. Amazingly, he began to respond to treatment and eventually began to recover.
The dog’s wounds healed without any difficulties, and patches of fur began to grow. The veterinarians stated that he would always bear his scars and would never again resemble a normal dog. But it didn’t matter – everyone adored Justice regardless of his appearance.
An abused dog is so much more than his scars. Although Journey had a loveless upbringing and a difficult beginning, he responded positively to the veterinarians’ and shelter staff’s affection and care.
At first, he showed a great deal of timidity and melancholy. But he eventually transformed into a joyful, life-loving dog. His personality began to develop, and he grew more energetic.
He spent one year in the shelter as he recovered from his serious burns. And at last, he was ready for adoption.
As he became stronger, more and more people became aware of his story. There were numerous applications for his adoption from all across the world.
He quickly found a new home close to where he was discovered in Indiana. His new family constantly posts updates on his progress. They reported that Justice is relearning how to be a pet with each passing day as he adjusts to his new environment.
Way to go, Journey! Enjoy your new life with your loving family.
